Job summary

Veolia ANZ invites applications for a Fleet & Workshop Supervisor based in Emerald. You will plan, schedule and oversee maintenance to keep the fleet compliant with regulations and Veolia KPIs.

You will lead workshop staff, foster a safety-focused culture, and coordinate with operations and sales for downtime, repairs, and cost estimates. A Cert III or equivalent plus 5+ years in a similar role is expected.

Qualifications

• Cert III in a mechanical trade or equivalent; and/or at least 5 years experience in a similar role.
• Familiar with COR and NHVR maintenance standards and guidelines.
• Excellent computer literacy with extensive experience using Excel/Sheets.
• Highly organized, with exceptional time management skills and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Prior experience supervising or managing maintenance teams (desirable).
• Proactive and practical approach to workplace HSE.

• Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and consumables to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance.
• Participate in Monthly KPI meetings and contribute to improvement plans.

The Opportunity

Veolia ANZ has a fantastic opportunity for a Fleet & Workshop Supervisor to join our team based in Emerald.

What You'll be Responsible for

• Plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance activities to ensure the fleet consistently meets or exceeds state and national regulations, as well as Veolia's KPIs, policies, and procedures
• Supervise and coordinate workshop and maintenance staff to ensure efficient workflow and high productivity
• Foster a safety-focused culture by ensuring compliance with safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and mitigating hazards within the workshop
• Maintain ongoing and effective communication with operations and sales teams to schedule planned downtime, provide feedback on breakdowns, updates on repairs, and estimates on costs and completion times in a timely manner.
• Maintain inventory levels of spare parts and consumables to minimize unnecessary downtime.
• Coordinate facility repairs and maintenance.
• Participate in Monthly KPI meetings to discuss area performance. Contribute and take ownership of improvement plans and individual/team KPIs and objectives.

What You'll Need to be Successful

• Cert III in a mechanical trade or equivalent, and/or at least 5 years experience in a similar role
