Job summary

Capricorn Bulk Haulage is seeking an experienced Transport Allocator / Operations Coordinator to join our team based in Mackay.

This hands on role coordinates day to day movement of our fleet, manages driver allocations and supports transport operations across Mackay and surrounding areas. You’ll work closely with drivers, customers and management to keep operations moving safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport allocation or similar road transport role.
• Good knowledge of heavy vehicle operations and legislation.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating and allocating company trucks.
• Monitoring transport movements and responding to operational changes.
• Communicating with drivers, customers, sites and management.
• Assisting with fatigue, mass and maintenance compliance requirements.
• Maintaining accurate operational and compliance records.
• Supporting safety and continuous improvement across operations.
• Ensuring customer requirements and service expectations are met.
• Troubleshooting delays, breakdowns and other operational issues.
• Attending other CBH sites when required.
