Job summary

Metcash Trading Limited in Queensland, Sunshine Coast region, seeks an experienced Operations/Compliance Coordinator to lead fleet operations, health and safety, and site compliance with strong on-floor leadership.

The role offers autonomy, responsibility, and opportunities to drive audits, contractor management, and continuous improvement while building relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Operations/Compliance/Health and Safety role.
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and audits.
• Experience managing fleets, maintenance schedules, and contractors.
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills.
• Strong MS Office skills and a current Driver’s Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead health and safety culture across the site.
• Maintain vehicle registrations, inspections and compliance.
• Manage fleet and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance.
• Oversee contractor engagement and site maintenance needs.
• Conduct and enforce pre-start checks and safety procedures.
• Lead audits and corrective action programs.
• Monitor operations and pursue continuous improvement.
• Delegate tasks while maintaining accountability.
• Maintain records and complete admin for fleet/site operations.
• Build relations with internal and external stakeholders.
