Job summary

Bhinder Transport is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our vehicle fleet, ensuring safety, reliability and availability for business needs. You will work with drivers, management, suppliers and service providers to optimise fleet performance.

The role requires hands-on experience in fleet management, strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance, and the ability to coordinate servicing, registrations and compliance while managing costs and records with attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fleet management or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance and fleet operations.
• Experience coordinating servicing, repairs and vehicle suppliers.
• Understanding of vehicle registration, insurance and compliance requirements.
• Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage fleet costs, records and operational priorities.
• Relevant qualifications or experience in fleet management, transport, logistics or business management will be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the vehicle fleet.
• Coordinate vehicle allocation, utilisation and availability.
• Manage vehicle servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs.
• Arrange vehicle procurement, replacement, leasing and disposal.
• Monitor vehicle condition and minimise fleet downtime.
• Manage vehicle registration, insurance and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicles, servicing, repairs, inspections and costs.
• Liaise with mechanics, dealerships, suppliers, insurers and service providers.
• Monitor fleet expenditure, fuel usage and operating costs.
• Investigate vehicle breakdowns, incidents and maintenance issues.
