Job summary

Woods & Co Recruitment partnered with a rapidly growing Australian business to recruit a Fleet Coordinator for their operations team. The role covers national fleet coordination, driver and vehicle allocation, and ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations.

The successful candidate will manage scheduling, monitor maintenance, and communicate across drivers, customers and internal teams. This is a fast-paced role offering growth within a scaling national organisation.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet coordination, transport coordination, logistics, dispatch or operations.
• Experience coordinating drivers, vehicles, couriers, technicians or field-based teams.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Confident managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Experience with fleet management systems or scheduling software is highly regarded.
• A proactive and hands-on approach to operational challenges.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the day-to-day operations of the company fleet nationally.
• Schedule and allocate drivers, vehicles and jobs based on operational requirements.
• Monitor vehicle availability, servicing, maintenance and compliance requirements.
• Manage schedule changes, breakdowns, delays and last-minute operational needs.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers and internal teams throughout the day.
• Maintain accurate fleet, scheduling and operational records.
• Assist with identifying opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and utilisation.
• Ensure all fleet-related activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with company requirements.
