Qualifications

• Experience in Fleet Management or Transport Operations.
• Experience managing vehicles and drivers in a busy operational environment.
• Knowledge of fleet maintenance, servicing and compliance requirements.
• Experience in waste management, transport, logistics or a similar industry highly regarded.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Sound understanding of driver safety and transport compliance.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and make quick operational decisions.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Good computer literacy and experience maintaining fleet records and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operation of a fleet of 25+ vehicles and drivers.
• Coordinate maintenance, servicing and repairs to minimise downtime.
• Ensure vehicles remain compliant and roadworthy.
• Monitor fleet performance, availability and costs.
• Liaise with workshops, suppliers and external service providers.
• Support driver rostering and coverage for operational needs.
• Drive safety, accountability and clear communication across the team.
