Job summary

Hydro Tasmania is seeking a Fleet Operations Lead to own and optimise the organisation's vehicle fleet from Hobart. You will drive the EV transition, manage budgets and partner with services and business units to deliver value and safety.

Based in Nipaluna, you will lead fleet strategy, collaborate with stakeholders, and implement digital initiatives to enhance efficiency and sustainability across Hydro Tasmania.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a large and complex vehicle fleet.
• Strong project management and stakeholder engagement capability.
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets and financial forecasts.
• Excellent communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to analyse complex problems and deliver practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop fleet operations, strategy and service delivery.
• Drive fleet optimisation, continuous improvement and digital initiatives.
• Deliver Hydro Tasmania’s fleet management and EV transition strategy.
• Manage fleet budgets, forecasting and project outcomes.
• Build strong partnerships across the business and supplier network.
• Provide expert advice on fleet operations, safety and business risk.
