Job summary

City of Boroondara is seeking a Fleet Officer to manage the council’s day-to-day fleet operations, including leasing, to ensure vehicles are cost-effective and well utilised for our service needs.

The role reports to the Coordinator Strategic Procurement within Governance and Legal and involves collaboration with internal teams and external suppliers; the 12-month parental leave cover includes a two-week handover to help you settle in.

Qualifications

• Experience in fleet management and/or administration with strong systems.
• Current Victorian driver’s licence is essential.
• Relevant degree or diploma, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate a diverse fleet including passenger vehicles, light and heavy vehicles, buses, plant and trailers.
• Administer leasing and purchasing, manage service contracts and deliveries/returns.
• Review vehicle needs with departments and suppliers, ensure policy compliance.
• Liaise with Finance on vehicle allowances and reimbursements.
• Maintain fleet records, check invoices, and prepare performance reports.
• Support fleet planning aligned with Climate Action Plan.
