Job summary

The Landmark Group is seeking an experienced Fleet Mechanic to maintain our diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment. Work from a heated shop in Thornbury with minimal field calls, enjoying steady, year-round full-time employment and a well-documented fleet.

You will diagnose, service and repair trucks and construction equipment, perform preventative maintenance, inspections and record keeping. Strong diagnostic skills and a proactive mindset are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Valid driver1s license is required.
• 3+ years of hands-on mechanic experience with trucks and heavy equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills across electrical, diesel, hydraulic and transmission systems.
• Experience with Freightliner or similar heavy trucks preferred.
• Holding Ontario 310T license is an asset but not required for all applicants.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service and repair vehicles and equipment to ensure fleet safety.
• Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
• Complete vehicle inspections and safeties where qualified.
• Maintain and repair trucks and trailers; coordinate repairs as needed.
• Keep maintenance records current and plan upcoming maintenance to minimize downtime.
