Are you an experienced Fleet Manager ready to take ownership of a large, diverse fleet across multiple business units?

ARA Fire & Security is seeking a commercially minded, highly organised and proactive Fleet Manager to lead our national fleet function across ARA Fire, ARA Security, ARA Technologies Auscoast Fire and associated business units.

This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring our fleet operates safely, efficiently and cost-effectively while supporting the day-to-day needs of our operational teams around Australia.

About the Role

As Fleet Manager, you will oversee all aspects of fleet operations across the business, providing strategic direction and operational support to ensure our vehicles, drivers and fleet systems meet the evolving needs of the organisation.

You will partner closely with General Managers, State Managers, Operations Managers, Finance, WHS and Senior Leadership to deliver a best-practice fleet management program that supports business growth and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and optimise the national fleet across multiple business units
• Develop and implement fleet management strategies, policies and procedures
• Oversee vehicle acquisition, leasing, allocation, replacement and disposal programs
• Manage supplier, leasing and service provider relationships
• Monitor fleet utilisation, running costs, fuel usage and performance metrics
• Ensure compliance with all vehicle, licensing, registration and legislative requirements
• Lead vehicle incident management, insurance claims and driver investigations
• Manage driver behaviour and telematics programs
• Partner with WHS teams to improve driver safety and reduce risk
• Deliver fleet reporting, insights and recommendations to senior leadership
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs
• Support the continued growth of the business through scalable fleet solutions

About You

You are a confident and influential Fleet Manager who can operate strategically whilst remaining hands-on when required.

You have experience managing large fleets within multi-site or national organisations and understand the importance of balancing compliance, safety, service delivery and commercial outcomes.

You Will Bring

• Extensive experience in Fleet Management
• Proven experience managing medium to large vehicle fleets across multiple locations
• Strong commercial and financial management skills
• Experience managing lease agreements, suppliers and fleet service providers
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
• Strong knowledge of fleet compliance and WHS requirements
• Experience with vehicle tracking, telematics and fleet management systems
• Advanced reporting and analytical capabilities
• Ability to influence and drive change across a diverse workforce
• A continuous improvement mindset

Highly Regarded

• Experience within Fire Protection, Security, Facilities Management, Trades or Service-based industries
• Experience managing fleets of 200+ vehicles
• Relevant qualifications in Business, Logistics, Fleet Management or Supply Chain
