Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in fleet management, transport or logistics.
  • Strong leadership skills to supervise, motivate and manage a team.
  • Sound understanding of transport compliance and workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Experience managing driver licences, certifications, training and compliance documentation.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive professional relationships with customers, drivers, suppliers and stakeholders.
  • Proactive approach with ability to work independently and take ownership of fleet operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including routing, scheduling and service delivery to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
  • Plan and coordinate daily collection, delivery and freight unloading schedules while ensuring safety is maintained.
  • Monitor and coordinate vehicle servicing, repairs and maintenance schedules to ensure vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational.
  • Ensure all fleet activities comply with Work Health and Safety, transport and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to vehicles, servicing, inspections, driver documentation and compliance.
  • Monitor fleet performance, establish and track KPIs, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Supervise, support and lead a team of drivers, providing training and ongoing feedback.
  • Ensure drivers maintain required licences, certifications, training and authorisations.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure drivers comply with policies and legal requirements.
  • Assist with driver recruitment, onboarding and training as required.
  • Monitor fuel usage and negotiate with suppliers to achieve cost-effective fuel purchasing.
  • Identify opportunities to improve fleet efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, contractors and stakeholders.
  • Respond to operational issues and customer concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Prepare operational reports and maintain accurate business records to support decision-making.
  • Work with management to ensure fleet operations meet business and customer service requirements.

About the Role

Aramex Sunshine Coast is seeking a motivated and experienced Fleet Manager to oversee the daily operations of our growing fleet. This is a pivotal role responsible for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our vehicles, maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and leading and supporting our dedicated team of drivers.

The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent organisational and communication skills, a practical approach to problem-solving, and a strong understanding of transport and logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities include:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the fleet, including routing, scheduling and service delivery to ensure efficiency and timeliness.
