Job summary

Department of Justice in Perth is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee the Fleet Services team, coordinating the financial and administrative activities related to departmental vehicles and related equipment.

The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and hands-on oversight of vehicle acquisition, maintenance and disposal, plus management of the Department’s mobile plant and equipment program to support safe, reliable operations.

Responsibilities

• The Fleet Manager oversees the operations of the Fleet Services team and is responsible for the coordination of the financial and administration activities relating to departmental vehicles and related equipment.
• Communicates and Influences Effectively: A demonstrated ability to; present messages confidently and persuasively and to actively listen, understand and adapt communication styles to suit a range of audiences, listen to differing views and opinions and develop persuasive counter arguments are requirements for this role.
• Managing the acquisition, maintenance and disposal of departmental vehicles and related equipment.
• Managing the Department’s mobile plant and equipment program.
