Job summary

Silk Logistics is seeking a Fleet Controller to join the Landside Logistics team at our Yennora site in NSW. You’ll coordinate daily transport operations, allocate vehicles and drivers, and ensure safe, timely deliveries while collaborating with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders.

The role emphasizes maintaining records, improving schedules, and upholding Chain of Responsibility and WHS standards in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in fleet control, transport coordination, or a similar logistics role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with drivers and stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively to changing operational requirements.
• Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
• Knowledge of Chain of Responsibility requirements and transport safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily fleet operations, including vehicle scheduling, driver allocations, and delivery planning.
• Monitor transport activities to ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to communicate schedules and resolve operational issues.
• Track vehicle movements and manage changes to schedules to minimise delays and disruptions.
• Maintain accurate transport records, delivery documentation, and operational reports.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, Chain of Responsibility requirements, and workplace health and safety standards.
