Job summary

Silk Logistics is seeking experienced HC Truck Drivers to join our Landside Logistics team at the Yennora site in Sydney on a permanent full-time basis. You will safely transport containers and freight, coordinating with our operations team to meet delivery windows.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime, with AM or PM shifts available, and a strong emphasis on safety, compliance and customer service. You will work closely with port operators and internal teams.

Qualifications

• Current HC (Heavy Combination) licence with driving experience.
• Current MSIC Card.
• Experience in container transport, wharf cartage or logistics.
• Knowledge of CoR and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements.
• Strong commitment to safety, reliability and customer service.
• Ability to work independently and manage delivery schedules.
• Good communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate HC vehicles in accordance with road transport legislation and company procedures.
• Complete scheduled container deliveries and collections while meeting customer timeframes.
• Conduct daily pre-start vehicle inspections and report safety concerns.
• Accurately complete transport documentation and electronic records.
• Comply with CoR, fatigue management and workplace health and safety requirements.
• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach with customers and stakeholders.
• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

Job description

We are currently seeking experienced HC Truck Drivers to join our Landside Logistics team, based at our Yennora site.

We have opportunities available PM shift. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of containers and freight, ensuring customer delivery requirements are met on time. You will work closely with our operations team to support daily transport activities while maintaining high standards of safety, compliance and customer service.

This is a permanent full-time position, working Monday to Friday, with overtime available.

Key Accountabilities

• Safely operate HC vehicles in accordance with road transport legislation and company procedures.

• Complete scheduled container deliveries and collections while meeting customer timeframes.

• Conduct daily pre-start vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.

• Accurately complete transport documentation and electronic records.

• Comply with Chain of Responsibility (CoR), fatigue management and workplace health and safety requirements.

• Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach when interacting with customers, port operators and internal stakeholders.

• Ensure vehicles and equipment are maintained to a high standard.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Current HC (Heavy Combination) Licence with demonstrated driving experience.

• Current MSIC Card.

• Previous experience in container transport, wharf cartage or the logistics industry is highly desirable.

• Sound knowledge of Chain of Responsibility (CoR) and Heavy Vehicle National Law requirements.

• Strong commitment to safety, reliability and customer service.

• Ability to work independently while effectively managing delivery schedules.

• Good communication and time-management skills.

• Availability to work either AM or PM shifts.
