Kinetic is seeking a skilled panel beater or spray painter to join our Melbourne fleet workshop. Reporting to the Bodyshop Supervisor, you will contribute to keeping trucks safe, presentable and road-worthy through quality repairs and finishes.

The ideal candidate will hold a trade qualification in body repair or automotive refinishing, a current Heavy Vehicle Licence, and proven experience in vehicle body work, with a strong focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Must have a trade qualification in body repair, panel beating, automotive refinishing, or a related field.
• Must hold a current Heavy Vehicle Licence or be willing to obtain one.
• Must have previous experience in vehicle body repairs and maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Carry out vehicle body repairs and restoration work.
• Complete interior repairs, trim work, and cosmetic maintenance.
• Apply and remove vehicle decals and signage.
• Identify and rectify vehicle defects in a timely manner.
• Maintain detailed and accurate job cards and repair records.
• Maintain workshop tools, equipment, and stock levels.
• Support a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to meet operational requirements.

About the Role

Reporting to the Bodyshop Supervisor, you will play a key role in ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, and professionally presented at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out vehicle body repairs and restoration work
• Completing interior repairs, trim work, and cosmetic maintenance
• Applying and removing vehicle decals and signage
• Identifying and rectifying vehicle defects in a timely manner
• Maintaining detailed and accurate job cards and repair records
• Maintaining workshop tools, equipment, and stock levels
• Supporting a clean, organised, and safe workshop environment
• Working collaboratively with the wider maintenance team to meet operational requirements

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Must have trade qualification in body repair, panel beating, automotive refinishing, or a related field
• A current Heavy Vehicle Licence, or willingness to obtain one
• Must have previous experience in vehicle body repairs and maintenance
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
• The ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
