Job summary

City of Rockingham is hiring a Fleet Officer to manage the full lifecycle of fleet, plant and equipment, lead procurement, and analyse performance data to support replacement and optimisation strategies.

Reporting to the Fleet Management Supervisor, you will work with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure availability, maintain asset records, and ensure WHS compliance while delivering cost-effective services.

Qualifications

• Experience managing fleet across entire lifecycle with knowledge of vehicle licensing, Australian Design Rules and WHS.
• Experience preparing performance-based specifications, RFQ’s and tenders.
• Ability to analyse fleet data (utilisation, cost, downtime etc.) and produce evidence-based recommendations.
• Strong consultation skills with the ability to work across teams and levels.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office.
• Manages competing priorities and exercises sound judgement with limited supervision.
• Mechanical trade certificate or tertiary qualifications in fleet/asset management, or equivalent demonstrated industry experience.

• Lead procurement activities, develop fit-for-purpose specifications and tenders.
• Analyse fleet performance data and support replacement/optimisation strategies.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and suppliers to ensure availability and compliance.
• Oversee fuel reconciliation and ensure WHS/regulatory compliance.
