Job summary

The Esplanade at Brighton in South Australia is ALH Hotels’ flagship beachfront pub, and we seek a Head Chef to lead the kitchen with true ownership of performance and culture.

This hands-on role requires trade cooking qualifications, food safety certs, and a vision to deliver elevated pub dining; you’ll partner with the Publican and FOH to drive a high-performing team and a memorable guest experience.

Qualifications

• Trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications.
• Experience owning or leading a kitchen and driving profitability.
• Proven leadership and team-building abilities.

Responsibilities

• Command the kitchen and keep it safe, smooth, and profitable.
• Collaborate with the Publican and FOH team to align on service standards.
• Mentor and develop a high-performing kitchen team.
• Ensure seamless kitchen-front of-house communication and great food each shift.
