Job summary

Rio Tinto is partnered with Chandler Macleod to recruit Fixed Plant Operators for Marandoo in the Pilbara. This FIFO role from Perth requires operating fixed plant equipment, performing inspections and fault finding to support production targets and safety standards.

The successful candidate will work on an alternating 8:6 / 7:7 day and night roster with 12.5-hour shifts, and must pass pre-employment medical and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Experience in fixed plant, processing plants or heavy industrial operations.
• Exposure to crushing, screening, conveying or mineral processing equipment.
• Strong safety focus and safe work practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor fixed plant equipment (crushers, screens, conveyors, stackers, reclaimers).
• Conduct routine inspections and identify defects or abnormal conditions.
• Undertake basic fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Support plant reliability via cleaning, housekeeping and preventive maintenance.
• Operate associated mobile equipment as required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
