Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Townsville, North Queensland is seeking a trade-qualified Mechanical Fitter to diagnose, repair and maintain fixed asphalt and blending facilities. You will perform fault finding on conveyors, burners and pumps, conduct preventative maintenance, and support planned shutdowns in a hands-on field role.

• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic capabilities.

About the Candidate

Trade qualified Mechanical Fitter / Fixed Plant Mechanic (or equivalent).

Experience with fixed plant, asphalt plant or quarry operations (highly regarded).

Strong mechanical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Ability to work independently and in field-based environments.

Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Current driver's licence (HR, forklift, EWP and confined space tickets advantageous).

What's on offer?

We're looking for a Fixed Plant Fitter to join the team at Fulton Hogan supporting our asphalt plant operations across North Queensland, based out of Townsville. This is a hands-on role working on a various fixed asphalt and blending facilities, ensuring reliability, safety, and optimal plant performance.

Working Monday to Friday with overtime, shutdown work, away works, and occasional weekends available. This role offers a competitive hourly rate plus penalties, tool of the trade vehicle and superannuation.
