Job summary

Fulton Hogan in South-East Queensland is seeking a motivated Store Person / Trade Assistant to support workshop operations. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will assist with asset coordination, stock control, and daily administration to keep the workshop running smoothly.

Experience in mechanical workshops, transport, or logistics is valued; you should be a quick learner with good communication, time management, and a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical workshops, transport, or logistics is highly regarded.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to multitask.
• Willingness to learn and contribute as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily administrative and operational support to the workshop team.
• Raise purchase orders and receipt incoming goods per processes.
• Support stock control, including parts ordering and stocktakes.
• Load/unload deliveries and safely handle materials and equipment.
• Keep workshop and stores clean, organized, and presentable.
• Assist tradespersons to support efficient workshop operations.
• Perform other tasks to support the team as required.

What’s on offer?

As our Infrastructure Services business continues to grow, we’re on the lookout for a motivated and reliable Store Person / Trade Assistant to join our South-East Queensland team on a full-time basis.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will provide vital support to ensure the smooth running of our workshop operations. Whilst previous workshop experience is preferred, we’re also keen to hear from individuals with a great attitude and a strong willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily administrative and operational support to the workshop team, including assisting the Workshop Coordinator with asset coordination.
• Raise purchase orders and receipt incoming goods in accordance with company processes.
• Support effective stock control, including parts ordering, inventory management and regular stocktakes.
• Load and unload deliveries and safely handle materials, parts and equipment.
• Maintain a clean, organised and well-presented workshop, stores and work areas.
• Provide practical assistance to tradespersons to support efficient workshop operations.
• Assist with general workshop duties and other tasks as required to support the team

We are seeking a self-starter with previous experience in mechanical workshops, transport, or logistics (highly regarded). You will demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills together with intermediate Microsoft Office skills. With excellent time management and an ability to multi-task, you will be team spirited, adaptable and have a positive attitude can-do attitude.
