Job summary

Fulton Hogan Ltd in Mile End South, SA, is seeking a hands-on Plant Operator to support our Asphalt Production team. The appointee will operate fixed plant equipment, perform inspections, and assist with maintenance while promoting a safe, high-quality work environment.

Experience in asphalt production is desirable. A High Risk Forklift license and a proactive approach to safety, waste reduction, and efficiency will help you contribute to our reliable, community-focused operation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of industry related standards and specifications.
• Ability to work within tight deadlines in a safe and high-quality manner.
• Actively participate in toolbox discussions and safety meetings.
• Experience in fixed Plant operations and maintenance.
• Desirable: experience in asphalt production.

Responsibilities

• Promote and support fixed plant production alongside the Asphalt Production team.
• Carry out plant inspection checklists and maintain a neat site.
• Initiate ideas to improve efficiency, reduce waste and costs.
• Actively participate in preventative maintenance, toolbox discussions and safety meetings.
• Operate a forklift with High Risk License.
• Contribute to a safe and compliant work environment on site.

The appointee will be self-motivated, have a keen interest in Fixed Plant Production and will work closely with the Asphalt Production team to promote and build our business.Previous experience in a production environment with Asphalt is highly desired but not crucial. The ideal candidate will have the following attributes: * Knowledge of industry related standards and specifications* Ability to work within tight deadlines in a safe and high-quality manner* Carrying out Plant inspection check lists* Maintaining a neat and tidy site and work area* Initiating and communicating ideas that improve efficiency, reduce waste and costs* Have experience in fixed Plant operations and maintenance* Experienced in Operating a Forklift – High Risk License* Actively participate in preventative maintenance, toolbox discussions and safety meetings The pre-employment process will involve a medical check including drug and alcohol screening.
