Role Description

The Fixed Operations Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Duttons in Murray Bridge, SA. This position is responsible for overseeing all service, parts, and workshop operations to ensure efficiency, profitability, and a high standard of customer care. Day-to-day tasks include managing service and parts teams, monitoring KPIs, optimizing workflows, and ensuring compliance with dealership policies and manufacturer standards. The role also involves driving customer satisfaction and retention initiatives, handling escalated customer concerns, and collaborating with sales and management to support overall dealership performance. The Fixed Operations Manager will prepare operational reports, manage budgets, and implement continuous improvement practices to enhance the fixed operations department.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Dealer Operations and Fixed Operations within an automotive dealership environment.
• Demonstrated ability in Customer Retention and Customer Satisfaction, with a focus on building long-term relationships.
• Proven skills in Operations Management, including workflow optimization, KPI tracking, and performance improvement.
• Leadership experience managing service and parts teams, with the ability to coach, mentor, and develop staff.
• Solid commercial acumen, including budgeting, cost control, and understanding of profitability drivers in fixed operations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle complex customer issues professionally.
• Familiarity with dealer management systems and workshop scheduling tools; strong general computer literacy.
• Relevant qualifications in Automotive Management, Business, or a related field; trade or technical background in automotive is highly regarded.
