Job summary

HMPS, Australia’s leading machine manufacturer based in Adelaide, invites applications for a casual Fitter and Turner. You will perform general fitting and machining duties to assemble HMPS products, modify existing customer machines, and assist with installation and commissioning.

We value hands-on tradespeople with a mechanical background who can read drawings, use hand and power tools, work safely, and contribute to a collaborative team focused on quality and innovation.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Strong experience in mechanical and pneumatic assembly with hand and fixed tools.
• Ability to read and apply engineering drawings.
• Commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship.
• Previous machinery manufacturing experience is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and pneumatic systems across manufacturing tasks.
• Take independent initiative and solve problems while updating the supervisor.

Job description

Are you a detail-oriented, experienced Fitter and Turnerwith a strong trade background? If you’re passionate about high-quality work and want to be part of a talented team, we’d love to hear from you!

We’re currently seeking a casual Fitter and Turnerto play a key role in Manufacturing and assembling our innovative HMPS products. In this role, you’ll be responsible for general fitting and machining dutiesto create our exceptional machinery, execute modifications to existing customer machines and assist with installation and commissioning.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, negotiated based on your skills, qualifications, and experience, plus superannuation and applicable penalty rates.

What You’ll Do:

• Take charge of assemblytasks across mechanical and pneumatic systems.
• Show independence in your duties, problem-solving with initiative while keeping your manager updated when needed.
• Work collaboratively with a team of skilled professionals committed to quality and innovation.

Job Description
