Job summary

Coates Hire in Parkes is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to join our team. You’ll perform preventative maintenance, service and overhaul of a range of hire equipment, diagnosing faults to keep our fleet ready for customers.

This full-time role offers a Monday to Friday roster, 7am start, and attractive hourly rates with penalty rates on overtime. The position includes training, career progression and employee discounts on equipment hire.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification relevant to mechanical maintenance.
• Experience with plant equipment maintenance is required.
• Valid MR/HR licence preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance, servicing and overhaul of a range of plant equipment.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Maintaining records for all service and repair work.
• Minimising operational downtime of equipment.

Based at the Coates Parkes branch, you'll be keeping our fleet of hire equipment in prime condition and ready for the next customer.

Your typical day will focus on:

• Performing preventative maintenance, servicing and overhaul of a range of plant equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults
• Maintaining records for all service and repair work
• Minimising operational downtime of equipment

What you’ll bring to the role

• Relevant Trade qualifications
• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills
• Drivers licence (preferably MR or HR)
• Forklift and EWP tickets (beneficial)
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills
