Job summary

Coates is seeking a qualified Field Service Mechanic to join our Orange, NSW team, servicing Coates hire equipment on customer sites. The role covers preventative maintenance, on-site repairs and fault diagnosis across heavy machinery, generators, lighting plants and boom lifts.

You will work Mon–Fri starting at 7am, with full-time permanent employment and attractive hourly rates plus overtime penalties. Training, career progression and employee discounts are part of the package.

Qualifications

• Relevant Trade qualifications.
• Experience with petrol and diesel motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic electrical skills.
• Drivers licence (preferably MR or HR).
• Forklift and EWP tickets (beneficial).
• Effective time management and attention to detail.
• Troubleshooting, diagnostic and preventative maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Safe, preventative maintenance, service and overhaul on customer sites.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on site across equipment (earthmoving, generators, lighting plants, boom lifts).
• Ensure stock levels of spare parts are available to undertake repairs on site.
