Job summary

John Valves Pty Ltd in Ballarat is seeking a fully qualified Fitter & Turner to join our team for a full-time role. You will manufacture valve products using lathes and milling machines and work with NC lathe, vertical and horizontal borers.

The successful candidate will shadow the lead Senior Fitter & Turner and contribute to production for Australian and international markets. Ideal applicants will have prior experience in a similar role, be physically fit, and demonstrate a strong work ethic

Qualifications

• Fully qualified Fitter & Turner required.
• Experience in a similar role/environment preferred.
• Experience with lathes and milling machines preferred.
• Physically fit and able to work to demands of the role.
• Strong work ethic and professional approach.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team.

Job description

This full-time role, based in Ballarat, supports the manufacture of a broad range of products for the Australian and international valve market. This position requires a fully qualified Fitter & Turner who has experience with lathes and milling machines. Exposure to NC lathe, vertical, and horizontal borers would also be advantageous but not essential. The ideal candidate will shadow the lead Senior Fitter & Turner, learning the skills required to eventually take over the role as the lead Senior Fitter & Turner.

Shadow and learn from the lead Senior Fitter & Turner

Contribute to production for the Australian and international valve market

Fully qualified Fitter & Turner

Experience working in a similar role/environment

Experience with lathes and milling machines

Physically fit and active to meet the demands of the role
