Job summary

CITILINK PILING (NSW) PTY LTD is seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team in Wilberforce, NSW. The successful candidate will maintain and repair machinery to keep operations efficient, reliable and safe, requiring a strong mechanical aptitude and practical problem-solving abilities.

Key duties include inspecting equipment, performing routine servicing, fitting parts, reading drawings, and diagnosing faults across workshop and field environments. Competitive salary and career development offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate IV in Mechanical Trade or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and components.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and drawings.
• Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery and equipment to identify faults.
• Perform routine maintenance and servicing tasks.
• Repair or replace faulty and worn parts.
• Follow workplace safety guidelines and procedures.
• Study drawings and specifications to determine suitable materials, methods, sequence of operations and machine settings.
• Fit fabricated metal parts into products and assemble metal parts and sub-assemblies to produce machinery and equipment.
• Interpret technical manuals to identify spare parts for ordering.
• Check fabricated and assembled metal parts for accuracy, clearance and fit.
• Cut, thread, bend and install hydraulic and pneumatic pipes and lines.
• Repair or replace worn or defective parts and reassemble mechanical components.
• Maintain equipment to required specifications to ensure reliable operation.
• Conduct workshop maintenance and maintain high housekeeping standards in work areas.
• Diagnose and repair machinery and equipment in workshop and field environments.
• Diagnose and repair electrical systems where required.
• Attend out-of-hours breakdowns and vehicle retrievals where required.
