Job summary

FITT Resources Pty Ltd in Gladstone, QLD is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters with rotating equipment experience to join our team. You will work autonomously or as part of a crew within a dynamic maintenance environment, bringing a 'can do' attitude and strong problem-solving skills.

The role is casual to full-time, with hourly rate based on capability and experience. Duties include stripping and assessing pumps, valves and auxiliary equipment; inspecting components to close tolerances;

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade.
• Full Australian drivers’ license (C).

Responsibilities

• Strip and assess a variety of single and multi-stage pumps, valves and auxiliary equipment.
• Inspect and measure components to close tolerances.
• Create comprehensive strip survey reports with failure analysis and rectification recommendations, complete with a photographic record of your findings.
• Assemble with high attention to detail fore-mentioned equipment.
• Experience in the refurbishing of industrial pumps, gearboxes, turbines and valves is preferred.
• The ability to machine components using a lathe, mill or horizontal borer would be seen as an advantage.

Education

Certificate III or IV in Engineering – Mechanical Trade

Due to continuous and fast growth, we currently have multiple full time vacancies for experienced Mechanical Fitters with rotating equipment experience to join our Gladstone team. To succeed in this role you will be a self-motivated individual, able to work autonomously or as part of a team within a dynamic work environment. You will have a “can do” attitude, able to problem solve individually or as part of a team effort to overcome challenges.
