Job summary

Boral are seeking an experienced Fitter to join our Kenilworth team. You will perform preventative maintenance, fault finding and component rebuilds on crushing, screening and batching equipment, with a focus on reducing downtime and improving plant efficiency.

You will work to OH&S standards, contribute to maintaining spare parts stock and documentation, and may be required to undertake overtime to support the maintenance program. A tool of trade vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience with crushing & screening equipment.
• Understanding of pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Motivated self-starter with results-oriented attitude.
• Overtime hours may be required.

Reporting to the Team Leader/Supervisor you will be responsible for a range of maintenance activities including performing planned maintenance, minimising production downtime and maximising the plant efficiency.

Your day will involve:

• Work safely in line with OH&S procedures and legislation
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and assist in the continual improvement
• Assist in maintaining the mechanical maintenance spare parts stock
• Fault find, modify and maintain crushing, screening and batching equipment across various plants
• Strip and rebuild components to the original specifications and performance
• Complete documentation to ensure plant data remains current
• Overtime may be required to supplement the maintenance effort

What are we looking for?

• Experience with crushing & screening equipment preferred.
• Experience and understanding of pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulic systems
• motivated self-starter who is results-oriented and driven to succeed
