Job summary

Boral Limited in Kenilworth is seeking an experienced Fitter to join our maintenance team. You will perform planned maintenance, fault find and rebuild crushing and screening equipment, and assist in improving plant reliability.

The role requires relevant fitter qualifications, experience with pumps and hydraulics, and a proactive, professional approach. Overtime may be required; a tool of trade vehicle is provided.

Qualifications

• Fitter trade qualification is required.
• Experience with crushing & screening equipment preferred.
• Experience with pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulics.
• Must be a motivated, results-oriented individual.
• Professional conduct and a can-do attitude are essential.
• Overtime hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Complete preventative maintenance routines and assist continual improvement.
• Assist in maintaining mechanical maintenance spare parts stock.
• Fault find, modify and maintain crushing, screening and batching equipment across plants.

• Overtime may be required to supplement maintenance efforts.

Boral are currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team based at Kenilworth. Reporting to the Team Leader/Supervisor you will be responsible for a range of maintenance activities including performing planned maintenance, minimising production downtime and maximising the plant efficiency.

Your day will involve:

• Work safely in line with OH&S procedures and legislation
• Complete preventative maintenance routines and assist in the continual improvement
• Assist in maintaining the mechanical maintenance spare parts stock
• Fault find, modify and maintain crushing, screening and batching equipment across various plants
• Strip and rebuild components to the original specifications and performance
• Complete documentation to ensure plant data remains current
• Overtime may be required to supplement the maintenance effort

What are we looking for?

• Relevant fitter trade qualifications
• Experience with crushing & screening equipment preferred.
• Experience and understanding of pumps, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulic systems
• motivated self-starter who is results-oriented and driven to succeed
• Works in a professional manner with a “Can do” attitude
• Overtime hours may be required
