We are seeking an experienced Construction Engineer to join a growing construction team, working across a range of commercial fit-out, refurbishment and interior construction projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands the complexities of fit-out construction and enjoys being hands-on, coordinating trades, managing subcontractor packages and ensuring projects are delivered to a high standard.

The Role

Working closely with the Project Manager and site teams, your responsibilities will include:

• Coordinating and managing subcontractor packages across multiple fit-out disciplines.


• Managing procurement, tendering and subcontractor engagement.


• Reviewing construction drawings, specifications and scopes of work.


• Coordinating site activities to ensure works are delivered in accordance with project programmes.


• Monitoring project progress, quality and compliance.


• Managing RFIs, technical queries and project documentation.


• Liaising with architects, consultants, subcontractors and key stakeholders.


• Identifying and resolving construction issues and assisting with practical site solutions.


• Monitoring costs, variations and project reporting.


• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with relevant safety and quality requirements.

About You

To be considered for this position, you MUST have:

• Previous experience working as a Construction Engineer, Project Engineer or similar within commercial fit-out construction.


• A solid understanding of interior fit-out, refurbishment and construction methodologies.


• Experience coordinating subcontractors and managing multiple trade packages.


• Strong procurement and project coordination skills.


• The ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.


• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.


• A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work within a fast-paced construction environment.

Applicants must have demonstrated experience in commercial fit-out construction. General building or civil construction experience alone will not be sufficient.
