Job summary

Amida Recruitment is seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager/Site Supervisor/Leading Hand for busy commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects in Sydney. You will support the Site Manager in delivering high-quality, on-time results, coordinating trades, and ensuring safety and compliance on site.

Background in carpentry or trade is preferred, with Procore or Buildpass experience advantageous. The role offers permanent full-time work on projects up to $15m+, with a strong company culture

Qualifications

• Trade or building qualification required or equivalent
• 2 to 5+ years’ experience in site supervision of construction projects
• Construction Safety Induction (White) card
• Senior First Aid Certificate
• Desirable – Certificate IV in Occupational Health & Safety
• Sound knowledge of building legislation, regulations and standards
• Proven ability to lead and motivate subcontractors
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications
• Experience with Procore or Buildpass would be ideal
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel

• Conduct onsite HSE and quality inductions with all onsite staff and subcontractors
• Complete daily site diary entries
• Review and manage key project issues
• Liaise with statutory bodies ensuring notifications are made
• Ensure site compound and amenities are established and maintained
• Organise all site inspections with clients, authorities and consultants
• Assist Site Manager and Project Manager with scopes of work
• Understand head and subcontractor contracts, especially timeframes
• Produce and manage defect lists for subcontractors prior to finishing works

A market leader with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects, they are now seeking an experienced Assistant Site Manager, Assistant Site Supervisor or Leading Hand to join their professional team.

Offering a range of services to their high-end clients, the company specialises in fit-out and refurb of Corporate Office, Health, Education, Government, Hotels, Hospitality and Leisure sector projects.

Projects are usually from smaller up to $15m+.

You will be responsible for the daily delivery of high quality and on-time construction projects, ensuring that the projects are completed to documented drawings, specifications and nominated timeframes.

You will be supporting the Site Manager in the safe and efficient day-to-day delivery of fitout and construction works ideally from a trade / carpentry background. Any experience in Procore and Buildpass would be a benefit.
