The Department of Employment and Workplace Relations seeks SES Band 2 leaders to shape its direction and position the department for what comes next. As a First Assistant Secretary, you will lead significant functions and people while contributing to strategy, governance and stewardship of DEWR.

You will operate across priorities, the external environment and needs of communities affected by our work. Roles may be located in Canberra or other major capital cities; applications from candidates

Qualifications

• Experience in executive leadership and strategic judgement.
• Ability to deliver in complex environments.
• Executive leadership development or specialist expertise may be advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Interpret the external environment and identify patterns, risks and opportunities for future requirements.
• Frame complex issues for Ministers and the Secretary, surface trade-offs and provide authoritative advice.
• Create coherence across policy, delivery, regulation, people, resources, technology and partnerships.
