Job summary

Oakey Beef Exports is seeking a dedicated First Aid Officer to join our close-knit team in Oakey, QLD. You will provide first-response treatments, maintain medical supplies, and collaborate with WHS and HR to ensure a safe on-site environment.

The role requires Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) certification, with advanced resuscitation highly regarded. Monday–Friday, full-time in our First Aid Office.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide first-response treatments to injuries and illnesses.
• Complete reports, record keeping and investigations of workplace injuries and accidents.
• Conduct pre-employment drug and alcohol and audiometric testing (training provided).
• Support on-site doctors with Q-Fever immunisations and screening processes.
• Coordinate and support weekly physiotherapy soft tissue treatments.
• Maintain on-site First Aid Kits and medical supplies.

Job description

An exciting and diverse opportunity with Oakey Beef Exports is available within our close-knit First Aid team. This is an excellent opportunity to work locally with a leading employer who puts safety first.

What is the opportunity?

Oakey Beef Exports is one Australia’s largest beef processing plants with more than 1000 staff on-site across production and support. Reporting directly to the Return to Work & Rehabilitation Coordinator, your role will be to:

Provide first-response treatments to a diverse range of injuries and illnesses;

Complete reports, record keeping and investigations of workplace injuries and accidents;

Conduct pre-employment drug and alcohol and audiometric testing (training provided);

Support on-site doctors with Q-Fever immunisations and Q-Fever screening processes;

Coordinate and support weekly physiotherapy soft tissue treatments;

Contribute to the maintenance of all on-site First Aid Kits and medical supplies on site; and

Collaborate with supervisors, WHS and HR to deliver a safe, cohesive First Aid service.

This position is a Full-Time role based within our First Aid Office, working Monday – Friday in Oakey, QLD.

Qualifications in Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) and CPR (HLTAID009) are a minimum requirement for this position. Provide Advanced Resuscitation (HLATID0015) certification would be highly regarded.
