HW Greenham & Sons Pty Ltd in Tongala, Victoria, is seeking an experienced Safety/First Aid Supervisor for the Afternoon Shift at our Tongala processing facility.

You will monitor safety performance, conduct risk assessments, lead first aid activities and support injury management to maintain a safe, compliant manufacturing environment. The role emphasizes creating a proactive safety culture across operations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workplace safety performance and assist in maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company standards.
• Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety observations.
• Investigate incidents, hazards and near misses, identifying corrective actions and preventative measures.
• Promote and drive a positive safety culture across the site.
• Liaise with supervisors, managers and employees to ensure safe work practices are maintained throughout operations.
• Deliver toolbox talks and employee training programs.
• Coordinate and manage workplace injury and incident reporting processes.
• Maintain first aid records, safety documentation and compliance registers.
• Provide immediate first aid treatment and support to employees as required.
• Support injured employees through the return-to-work process in collaboration with management and medical providers.

We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Safety/First Aid Supervisor to join our team at our Tongala processing facility on the Afternoon Shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor workplace safety performance and assist in maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and company standards.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

• Work Health and Safety qualifications or equivalent experience.
• Drug and Alcohol Screening certification (desirable, but not essential, training will be provided).
• Return to Work Coordinator certification (desirable, but not essential, training will be provided)
• First Aid Certificate (desirable, but not essential, training will be provided).
• Previous experience in a safety, health and wellbeing, and a first aid injury management role.
• Well-developed knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Strong incident investigation, risk assessment and hazard management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the business.
• High attention to detail with strong administrative, record-keeping and documentation skills.
• Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience within manufacturing, food processing, warehousing or industrial environments (highly regarded).
