Job summary

Nordex Doors & Panels is seeking an experienced Fire Door & Frame Estimator / Scheduler to join our Fairfield East team. You will read architectural drawings, prepare take-offs, estimate fire-rated doors and frames, and turn awarded projects into accurate production schedules.

The ideal candidate will have experience in door/frames, hardware, joinery or commercial construction, with strong numerical skills and proficiency in Excel. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Fairfield East, NSW.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing architectural drawings, door schedules and specifications
• Estimating fire-rated doors, frames and associated products
• Preparing take-offs and pricing for commercial projects
• Reviewing door sizes, fire ratings, frame requirements and hardware
• Preparing and maintaining door and frame schedules
• Liaising with builders, project managers, suppliers and internal team
• Reviewing revisions and variations throughout a project
• Checking documentation before projects move into production
• Assisting with project handover from estimating through to manufacturing
• Coordinating information required for purchasing, production and delivery
• Identifying missing or conflicting information in drawings and specifications

Nordex Doors & Panels is looking for an experienced Fire Door & Frame Estimator / Scheduler to join our team in Fairfield East.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone with experience in the door, frame, hardware, joinery or commercial construction industry who is confident reading architectural drawings, preparing estimates and turning awarded projects into accurate production schedules.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Reviewing architectural drawings, door schedules and specifications
• Estimating fire-rated doors, frames and associated products
• Preparing take-offs and pricing for commercial projects
• Reviewing door sizes, fire ratings, frame requirements and hardware
• Preparing and maintaining door and frame schedules
• Liaising with builders, project managers, suppliers and our internal team
• Reviewing revisions and variations throughout a project

About You

Ideally, you will have experience in one or more of the following areas:

• Fire doors and fire-rated door systems
• Pressed metal or steel door frames
• Architectural doors and frames
• Door hardware
• Construction estimating or scheduling

You should also have:

• Strong numerical and measurement skills

Experience with fire-rated doors and frames is highly regarded, but we would also consider someone with strong door, frame, hardware or commercial construction estimating experience who is willing to expand their knowledge.
