Job summary

FC Glass & Aluminium is seeking an Estimator to join our Newcastle team, focusing on accurate tenders for commercial glazing and aluminium projects across NSW. You will review architectural plans and tender docs, identify risks, and coordinate with builders and suppliers to secure pricing and information.

Qualifications

• Must have estimating experience or relevant qualifications within construction or a related field.
• Experience in commercial construction, glazing, aluminium or façades is highly regarded.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications and tender documentation.
• Strong numerical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication and organisational skills.
• Proactive approach and strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accurate and competitive tenders for commercial glazing and aluminium projects.
• Reviewing architectural plans, specifications and tender documentation.
• Identifying project requirements, inclusions, exclusions and potential risks.
• Raising RFIs and obtaining clarification where required.
• Liaising with builders, suppliers and client teams to obtain pricing and project information.
• Working closely with management, estimating and project teams as projects progress from tender through to delivery.
• Contributing to the continual improvement of estimating processes and systems.

FC Glass & Aluminium is a well-established commercial glazing and aluminium fabrication business based in Newcastle. We work on high-quality commercial projects across NSW and are looking for an Estimator to join our team.

We’re open to a range of experience levels. You may be newly qualified and ready to build your estimating career, or an experienced estimator looking for your next opportunity. What’s most important to us is finding the right person with strong attention to detail, a positive attitude and an interest in working within the commercial construction industry.

The role includes:

• Preparing accurate and competitive tenders for commercial glazing and aluminium projects
• Reviewing architectural plans, specifications and tender documentation
• Identifying project requirements, inclusions, exclusions and potential risks
• Raising RFIs and obtaining clarification where required
• Liaising with builders, suppliers and client teams to obtain pricing and project information
• Working closely with our management, estimating and project teams as projects progress from tender through to delivery

About you:

• Estimating experience or relevant qualifications within construction or a related field
