Job summary

Chubb Fire & Security – Dingley Village, VIC, is seeking a Defect Estimator. You will use technician reports and service documentation to prepare accurate quotations for defect repairs and remedial works, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance for customers.

You will collaborate with field technicians, service teams, account managers and customers to ensure clear scope, timely delivery and strong customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience estimating or service-related roles.
• Technical knowledge in fire/electrical/mechanical/building services is valued.
• Familiarity with Australian Standards is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Review technician reports and inspection findings to identify repair opportunities.
• Prepare clear, accurate quotations for defect works.
• Liaise with technicians to confirm scope, labour, materials and site considerations.
• Proactively follow up quotations and convert opportunities into orders.
• Build relationships with customers and provide responsive support.
• Manage a defect opportunity pipeline and record activity in CRM.
• Coordinate handover from quotation to delivery with internal teams.
• Identify opportunities to improve systems and customer protection.
• Ensure work complies with policies, pricing and quality standards.
