Job summary

Westpac is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support cross-functional teams delivering Financial Crime transformation initiatives. You will facilitate Agile ceremonies, manage sprint delivery, remove blockers and use Jira/Confluence to provide visibility.

This permanent full-time role based in Sydney offers hybrid and flexible working arrangements, with a focus on coaching squads to become self-managing and close collaboration with Release Train Leads, product owners and technology teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3-4 years Scrum Master experience.
• Certified Scrum Master certification.
• Experience with Agile ceremonies and backlog management.
• Experience in FinTech or financial crime domains is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Agile ceremonies and cadence for one or more scrum teams.
• Manage sprint delivery, dependencies, and blockers across teams.
• Use delivery metrics to improve flow, transparency and predictability.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Release Train Leads, and technology teams to deliver value.
