Job summary

Mountain Heritage in Katoomba is seeking a Cook to join our kitchen brigade with world class facilities and to create memorable dining experiences with consistent flavour and varied offerings. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will help elevate the dining experience for hotel guests and the public.

You will lead and energise the team, ensuring high-quality meals, adhering to policies, and maintaining equipment in good order. A tertiary Cookery qualification and a strong team spirit are essential.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Commercial Cookery and/or equivalent experience.
• Ability to lead and influence a kitchen brigade.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Effectively and efficiently running a cooking section in-line with company standards.
• Assist in the creation and implementation of interesting and popular menu ideas.
• Inspire and energise the team to be the best they can be.
• Follow policies and procedures at all times.
• Maintain strong relations, internally and externally.
• Consistently deliver high-quality meals.
• Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained in good working order.
• Follow WH&S compliance at all times.
