Cuscal Limited is seeking a Financial Crimes Analyst to analyse complex data to identify, prevent and respond to fraud and emerging financial crime threats across payment and digital banking channels.

Working within the Financial Crime Analytics & Advisory team, you’ll use Power BI, Databricks, SQL and Excel to identify trends, develop fraud rules and strengthen monitoring and controls for Cuscal and its clients.

Qualificações

• Experience in operational fraud or financial crime management.
• Strong analytical capability with experience working across large and complex data sets.
• Experience using fraud detection systems including writing or optimising fraud rules.
• Demonstrated ability to turn data into clear insights and recommendations.
• Advanced Power BI and Excel skills.
• Intermediate Databricks and SQL experience.
• Strong critical thinking, investigation and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work collaboratively and communicate insights clearly to different stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Analysing transactional, behavioural and intelligence data to identify fraud and emerging financial crime risks.
• Developing and optimising fraud detection rules across cards, digital wallets, real-time payments, PayTo, BPAY and Direct Entry.
• Conducting network analysis, merchant reviews and complex investigations.
• Using Power BI, Databricks, SQL and Excel to identify trends and provide actionable insights.
• Reviewing fraud controls and recommending improvements to strengthen detection capabilities.
• Monitoring fraud detection performance including detection rates and false positive ratios.
• Supporting the implementation and validation of new data sets, AI models and machine learning models.
• Providing insights on current fraud typologies and trends to internal stakeholders and clients.
