Job summary

Narrativ Recruitment Advisory is partnering with an established Brisbane-based organization to appoint an experienced finance professional. The role oversees month-end, reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow within a 12-month contract, with a view to permanent succession.

You will lead a small finance team, strengthen controls and governance, and drive improvements in systems and reporting to deliver commercial insights for senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Qualified CA or CPA with strong accounting background.
• Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and controls.
• Experience leading a small finance team.
• Proven ability to improve systems and reporting.

Office based in Brisbane CBD.

12-month contract with the intention to transition to a permanent appointment as part of succession planning.

About the Appointment

• CA or CPA qualification.
• Strong experience across financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting and financial controls.
• Experience leading or developing a small finance team.
• A demonstrated ability to improve systems, processes and reporting.
• Previous experience utilising business intelligence and/or budgeting systems is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with senior leaders and operational stakeholders.
• A proactive approach and the ability to drive improvements.
