Job summary

HR4Business partner with a Brisbane-based client to appoint a Financial Controller for a $40m+ business across Australia and NZ. You will own the month-end close, treasury and FX, and design the chart of accounts on a move to NetSuite.

You’ll lead a small finance team, drive accuracy, deliver commentary, and build cash forecasts while maintaining strong controls and compliance.

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified
• 3+ years as Financial Controller or Finance Manager in SME
• Strong NetSuite experience, multi-subsidiary preferred
• Multi-entity close and consolidation experience
• Treasury exposure including FX and trade finance

HR4Business is partnering with a growing Brisbane-headquartered client to appoint a Financial Controller. Our client is a $40m+ business supplying major organisations across Australia and New Zealand.

The role

Reporting to senior leadership, you will own the numbers. You will run a fast, clean month-end close across multiple entities, lead treasury and FX, and give the leadership team the cash visibility they need to grow.

You will also be the finance lead on a move to a single NetSuite platform, with a real hand in designing the chart of accounts, intercompany and controls.

What you’ll do

Own the month-end close across a multi-entity AU/NZ group, including intercompany and consolidation

Deliver monthly management accounts with clear commentary

Build weekly cash reporting and a rolling 90-day cash forecast

Manage banking, trade finance and FX contracts

Approve payments and own the control framework, including fraud controls

Own BAS, GST, PAYG, super, payroll tax and EOFY, working with external accountants and auditors

Lead and develop the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Officers

About you

CA or CPA qualified

3+ years as a Financial Controller or Finance Manager in an SME (around $20m–$100m turnover)

Strong hands-on NetSuite experience, ideally multi-subsidiary

Multi-entity close, intercompany and consolidation experience

Treasury experience, including trade finance, foreign currency payments and FX

A leader who sets high standards and holds a control under pressure

Wholesale, distribution or imported inventory experience is a strong plus
