Job summary

People2People's client, a well-regarded not-for-profit organisation in South East Queensland, seeks an Interim Financial Controller to provide hands-on leadership during year-end reporting and budgeting. You will lead a team of five finance professionals and work closely with the CFO to support the finance function during a critical period.

Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee month-end and year-end processes, prepare statutory statements, drive budgeting and forecasting, manage P&L and cash

Qualifications

• CA or CPA qualified.
• Proven experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or Senior Financial Accounting leadership role.
• Strong experience preparing financial statements and managing year-end reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated budgeting, forecasting and financial planning expertise.
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on environment and rolling up your sleeves when required.
• Previous leadership experience with the ability to guide and support finance teams.
• Experience within not-for-profit, community services, healthcare, education or government-funded organisations will be highly regarded.
• Available to commence at short notice.

• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls and regulatory obligations.
• Provide financial analysis and commercial insights to support executive decision-making.
• Assist with process improvements and strengthen financial reporting frameworks.

As they approach year-end reporting and budgeting activities, they are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to provide hands-on leadership and support the finance function during a critical period.
