Job summary

Internationalinsuranceprofessionals seeks a technically strong Financial Accountant to join our WA-based team in North Fremantle. You will ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls and support month-end and statutory compliance while contributing ideas for process improvement and automation.

Reporting to a senior finance leader, the role is hands-on, detail-focused and offers long-term career development within a privately owned Australian business with a collaborative finance

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified or working towards qualification.
• Demonstrated financial accounting experience within a commercial environment.
• Strong understanding of month-end processes, reconciliations and statutory compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
• A proactive mindset with a genuine interest in process improvement, automation and emerging technologies.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end activities including journals, accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations and supporting working papers.
• Support financial reporting, year-end processes and audit requirements.
• Assist with BAS, payroll tax, PAYG, superannuation and other statutory obligations.
• Oversee banking, cash and payment-related processes.
• Review payroll-related financial information and reconciliations.
• Identify opportunities to improve controls, streamline processes and leverage automation.
• Collaborate with finance and operational stakeholders across the business.
