Finance is changing, and this role offers the opportunity to be part of that evolution. Joining this well-established Australian manufacturing organisation, you will combine your strong technical financial accounting expertise with automation, AI and process improvement initiatives that are reshaping how finance supports business performance. Backed by significant investment in technology, systems enhancement and operational transformation, you will contribute to projects that improve reporting, streamline month-end processes and support better decision-making across the business, while maintaining ownership of core financial accounting responsibilities.

Reporting directly to a commercially focused CFO, you will play a key role in both the financial accounting function and broader finance improvement initiatives, with responsibilities including:

• Managing month-end reporting and financial accounting activities across a portfolio of assets and entities
• Preparing, reviewing and enhancing month-end reporting processes through automation and AI-driven improvements
• Identifying and supporting automation opportunities across accounting workflows, including journals, invoicing and transaction processing
• Support systems enhancement and operational improvement projects across the broader business

To be successful, you will bring strong technical financial accounting experience together with a genuine interest in technology, automation and continuous improvement. Experience within manufacturing, activity-based costing or a similarly operational environment will be highly regarded, as will exposure to AI tools, automation initiatives or systems transformation projects. You will be highly proficient in Excel, comfortable working with financial systems and data, and confident partnering with stakeholders across the business.
