Job summary

SAS Water Solutions, a growing Australian water treatment company, invites a Commercially-focused Financial Accountant to join the Castle Hill head office. You will manage Australia-based and overseas finance staff, ensuring timely reporting, strong controls and compliance with Australian accounting standards.

Reporting to the Group CFO, you will prepare management accounts, consolidate multi-entity reporting, and contribute to budgets, forecasts and cash flow planning.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting/finance or equivalent with professional qualification in progress.
• At least 3 years of financial or management accounting experience.
• Experience supervising remote or offshore finance staff.
• Knowledge of Australian accounting principles and statutory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts: P&L, balance sheet and cash flow.
• Complete balance-sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Prepare journals, accruals, prepayments and intercompany transactions.
• Coordinate accounts payable/receivable, payroll and banking processes.
• Develop procedures, checklists and accountability within the finance team.
• Lodge BAS, payroll tax and other statutory reporting.
• Assist with budgets, forecasts and cash-flow planning.
• Support month-end, year-end and external audits.
