Job summary

Watts Water Technologies (Australia) is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead our Finance team in Caringbah. You will own the month-end close, manage key balance sheet reconciliations, and ensure SOX compliance while supporting budgeting and forecasting with the FP&A function.

Degree in accounting/finance is required; CPA/CA preferred. You will oversee two accountants, drive process improvements, and coordinate with external auditors and tax filings.

Qualifications

• Degree in accounting, finance or related discipline required.
• High-volume commercial environment experience preferred (manufacturing, wholesale, FMCG or industrial).
• Experience with ERP and HFM is advantageous; strong Excel skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop two accountants, setting clear priorities and allocating work.
• Own the month-end close timetable and deliver timely journal postings and reconciliations.
• Review GL balances, investigate variances and resolve outstanding items.
• Maintain balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, provisions, fixed assets and intercompany accounts.
• Implement and monitor SOX controls and coordinate testing with process owners.
• Support forecasting and budgeting activities with FP&A; provide accounting inputs and insights.
• Coordinate income tax returns and BAS/FBT/payroll tax submissions.
• Prepare annual financial statements with external auditors and manage supporting schedules.
• Manage internal and external audits and address findings.
