Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Experience in the transport industry is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of month-end processes, general ledger accounting and balance sheet reconciliations.
• MUST HAVE experience managing intercompany transactions and working across multiple entities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A collaborative approach with the confidence to mentor and support finance team members.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to adapt to changing business requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly profit and loss results, management reports and financial analysis.
• Complete month-end processes, including general ledger reviews and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Work across multiple entities.
• Manage intercompany transactions, loan accounts and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, providing guidance and support to the finance team.
• Assist with payroll processing and payroll recharges across multiple entities.
• Ensure daily bank reconciliations are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage accruals, prepayments, fixed asset registers and credit card accounting.
• Reconcile Single Touch Payroll (STP) balances to the general ledger each month.
• Calculate monthly Fuel Tax Credits and coordinate head office recharges.
• Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reporting packs for senior leadership.
• Prepare weekly financial reporting and provide ad hoc analysis as required.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, maintain compliance with company policies and procedures, and provide finance team coverage when required.
