Job summary

Sabco Australia is seeking a qualified Financial Accountant to join our finance team and oversee our AP, month-end, year-end and tax processes. You will prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing financial advice and insights to senior management.

To be successful in this role, you should have a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, a CPA or CA qualification, and at least 5 years of

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
CPA or CA qualification and 5+ years of accounting experience in large or complex org.
Proficient in Syspro, Xero or SAP; advanced MS Excel and data analysis.
Strong communication, presentation, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
Experience in FMCG industry preferred; team player.

Responsibilities

Lead AP Team: supervise accounts payable, process invoices, payments and improvements.
Month End/Year End: close processes, reconcile accounts, post journals, prepare statements.
Tax and compliance: payroll tax, BAS, income tax, FBT, liaise with auditors and tax authorities.
Audit & external liaison: conduct external audits and resolve accounting issues.
